We source these as individual project items as there are so many different areas with different shades and tones that would make comprehensive stock holding prohibitive. These flagstones are then machined down to 30mm thick to allow speedy and less costly installation . Old Yorkstone Paving The first time I bought some of this in the trade in 1989 I thought I had the bargain of the centaury ! How wrong I was ! Oil started seeping out of these gritstone flagstones and I was left with a sorry mess . The Old Yorkstone we can supply is ONLY sourced from streets and houses and NOT the old industrial mills where it was used as flooring . As with our French Limestone Flagstones we can supply Old Yorkstone Flagstone flooring calibrated to 30mm thick for ease of installation . Hard Limestone Flooring We will be adding a gallery of selected stones in the near future to supply a range of stones that fall into this classification. There are many companies selling limestone a hugely popular flooring material these days . However you really need to ensure that the stone is suited to its application . There are some very soft porous limestone's available for very reasonable prices . These will soon show signs of wear and get dirty if used in busy areas .
