40 by 40 by 1cm Black slate floor tiles
A very versatile and solid coloured slate . The slate is extremely durable and has a every even surface. All of the black slate tiles and paving we sell including the exterior grade stone is back side calibrated for ease of installation .
Second only in our range of durable calibrated slate to the grey this dark coloured slate is perfect for many applications . We can supply a wide variety of options to order such as thin section wall tiles which weigh 20kgm2;these can then be used on skimmed stud wall construction.
This slate works very well indeed with under-floor heating. This is due to its relative high density and low porosity. Always remember though to use a flexible adhesive when using under-floor heating.
We can also supply this slate in thicker sections up to 100mm for use in cladding or heavy pedestrian traffic area.
Other finishes available to order are honed with an egg-shell smooth surface .
